BOB DYLAN AND MARY TRAVERS | JIM MARSHALL | 1963

This picture is a milestone of the “peace, love and rock’n roll” era! Bob Dylan and Mary Travers (from the band Peter, Paul and Mary) worked together on the trio’s third album, which featured three songs by 22 year old Dylan. According to Mary, they were never in a proper relationship, but at that time “everyone was kissing each other”.

About Jim Marshall, author of this picture: “ I’ve been very lucky, what can I say? The access was great and uh—this has been my life doin’ pictures and it’s never just been a job; it’s been my life.”
